A well-known product-focused company is hiring a Technical Lead to help drive backend system architecture, development, and performance for one of their most business-critical domains — a real-time availability engine used for integrations with hospitality, leisure, and retail partners across Europe.

This is a hands-on, code-focused leadership role (no direct reports), ideal for someone who wants to influence architecture, mentor developers, and work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative engineering culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead technical design and backend architecture across a real-time, highly available platform

• Build scalable PHP services using Symfony, REST/SOAP APIs, and modern messaging tools

• Drive code quality, test coverage, and CI/CD practices across the team

• Collaborate with product, QA, and offshore engineering to deliver secure, high-performing systems

• Guide technical conversations across domains and represent the platform in company-wide initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years' backend development experience with PHP (7 or 8)

• Strong hands-on experience with Symfony or similar frameworks

• Proven API design and data modeling skills

• CI/CD, automated testing, containers, and clean architecture know-how

• Comfortable working across teams, time zones, and technical functions
